How long does verification take and what can delay it?

Most companies complete verification as part of the overall setup in 24–48 hours after submitting the signup form. In some cases, verification can take longer if Compliance needs more information (EDD) or if submitted details don’t match supporting documents.

Typical verification timeline

Standard review (most cases)

  • 24–48 hours from completed signup/application submission

If additional review is required (EDD)

  • Timing varies depending on:

    • How quickly documents/questions are provided

    • How complex the company structure or payment use case is

    • Whether follow-up clarification is needed

You’ll see requests inside the platform and you’ll also receive an email notification.

What can delay verification (most common reasons)

1) Missing or unclear documents

  • Blurry photos/scans

  • Cropped documents (missing corners or key fields)

  • Wrong file type or incomplete pages

Fix: Re-upload a clear, complete scan/photo.

2) Info mismatch between application and documents

Examples:

  • Legal company name differs from the registration document

  • Address doesn’t match proof-of-address

  • Company website/use case doesn’t match what’s described

Fix: Update the application info (if possible) or add a short explanation in the request.

3) EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) requested

Compliance may request:

  • Additional ownership/control details

  • Proof of business activity (contracts, invoices, website context)

  • Source-of-funds explanations

Fix: Provide complete answers and supporting docs directly in the platform.

4) Complex ownership or multiple entities

  • Parent/subsidiary structures

  • Multiple operating entities

  • Beneficial ownership spread across many individuals

Fix: Provide an org/ownership summary (even a simple diagram or written breakdown helps).

5) Higher-risk industries or geographies

Some use cases require additional checks depending on:

  • Countries involved (where you’re located and where you pay)

  • Industry/payment patterns

How to speed up approval

  • Submit the signup form with exact legal name + address

  • Prepare documents ahead of time (registration + proof of address)

  • Respond to “Needs info” / “Action required” requests as soon as they appear

  • Upload documents that are readable and complete

  • If asked for source-of-funds or business activity, answer in 2–4 clear sentences (no long essays)

Where you’ll see verification updates

  • In the platform (verification status + requests)

  • Via email notifications for any required actions
