How do I get bank details for my Client?

In this article, we will go over how to get bank details to send along to your client so you can get paid via Bitwage.

Generate Bank Details

In order to generate bank details for client payment you must first add your client to your Bitwage profile. Once they are added follow the steps below:

  • Navigate to the Invoicing section on your Bitwage homepage.
  • Select "Create Invoice."
  • From this screen click the dropdown menu for "Invoice To"
  • Once you have selected you client the bank details will appear in bottom left of invoice

Saving Invoice In System and Option to Send

When you have filled out your invoice, you have the option to email the invoice directly to your employer or you can simply send along the banking details. We ask that you still save the invoice in our system so we know you are expecting a payment.

Ensure your client sends their funds correctly to avoid these common errors:

Sending funds to incorrect account: Your client's payment method determines where they should send the funds. This means different account numbers and instructions for different payment methods. For example - payments sent via ACH versus Wires will have different bank accounts and instructions for sending. Sending ACH to our wire account or vice versa can result in a delayed payment and penalty fees.

Incorrect Recipient Listed: The recipient is also called the receiver or beneficiary. For example - for USD sent via ACH the funds can be sent to your name, but for wires it needs to have Bitwage as the beneficiary.

Incorrect Memo: Sending with the correct memo is particularly important for wires to get routed according to our bank's instructions. Please follow the memo instructions in your invoice.

Incorrect Account Type: If asked for account type please select business checking.

By following these steps, you can easily provide your employer or client with the necessary bank details to send payments to your Bitwage account. If you have any further questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to support@bitwage.com for assistance.
